Jesus came back to his home and people came to be blessed, they brought to him children and he touched them...Mk 10,13-16

From the beginning of my priesthood, I wanted to be in touch with my people everywhere. I started some little programs to help and support them, especially children, and people most in need. In  South America, Africa, North America, Europe, Central America and everywhere I have been, I have tried to help as much as possible with my little projects. I have also had the wonderful support and strength of so many people who also want to help me. I know that this is the reason for my ministry.

The pictures you see here are from two schools in Colombia that the Diocese of Cheyenne, St Mary Magdalen and St Helen's parishes are helping to support. Right now there is a lot of work to be done. The floors and the roofs are in need of repair.There also are also many other improvements that are needed. Part of the money that we send will be used to remodel a courtyard into a conference room, the roof will be replaced and so will the floor.

The children work on their farms during the week and on Saturday at 4:30 am, they take an old bus, if available, or they are loaded into the rear of large trucks. The roads are in very poor shape because of all the rain and no money to improve them. They attend school Satuday morning and Sunday. They are very eager and excited for the opportunity to attend school.

When I was there, I gave a mass where I gave out rosaries made in Cheyenne. They were very happy to receive these gifts. The pictures show a couple of the classrooms, transportation to the school, giving out the rosaries and I am also pictured with the staff of one of the schools. The children are also working on a school project involving chickens, which is also pictured.

We visited several churches.

 It is with great joy and happiness that I am continuing with these activities every time that I can, especially with the help and support of so many people.

I wanted to show you some pictures and information about some of the activities that have happened these last few months.

This is our hometown church in Charala, Our Lady of Mongui.

Our churches are big even in small towns, 98% are Christian in Colombia.

We had a meeting with the community and directors of the school.

The Director of the School, Francisco, my mother Francisca, and the Bepplers. We were getting ready to ride the bus to go to visit Virolin, where the school El Santuario is.

This is and other beautiful project, that we have supported; the room for audiovisual it is done. They are enjoying the projector that we also donated.

Now they are working in this area of the school, to fix the roof and the floor to have an good area for recreation, work and dinning.

This is and other project: El Hogar Juvenil Campesino. It is a wonderful place were the very poor and some abused kids are welcome to help them to cope with their problems and also to educate them.

The "SHOES DAY" with your support we have been buying shoes for these kids. It was wonderful; Fr. Jim, the Bepplers, the Froth Brityer community and Kay Rossiter have helped me with this project. Thanks to them.

My priesthood is an opportunity to show the Love of God in these little projects, to help people that really have a  need. This is an opportunity that God gave me to "Touch my people". God bless you.
